According to a recent article by Robert Preidt from HealthDay News, there is now evidence to support the idea that patients with facial hair who are also on oxygen therapy have an increased risk of facial burns.

The article cited an experiment from the Mayo Clinic Proceedings involving tests on mannequins as well as analysis of clinic records involving oxygen therapy-related burns over the last 20 years.
